FASHIONING IDENTITIES
The changing styles of Indian Cinema through a socio-political lens
A series of eight exhibits created alongside industry experts and insiders which traverese socio-economic, political, historical, and societal norms in Indian cinema to derive and encapsulate their influence on Indian fashion design. The curators deploy a cross-disciplinary approach that weighs context, content, and sensorial stimulation in equal measure to create narratives that strive to empower, enrich, and entertain their audiences in a year of particular significance - India’s 75th year of Independence.
